Marcelo Wong


Marcelo Wong (05 July 1978 to 2011 in Lima). Peruvian artist who achieved national and international recognition for his work in sculpture and design by proposing soft, rounded and cool shapes with an original and modern vision.

One of his projects was it's participation in the CowParade (4) which his works were the center of attention in some places in Lima. He also recived prices and acquire some achievements during his professional carrer, like:  2008 Primera Bienal de escultura en piedra “Tiawuanaku”. La Paz-BOLIVIA , or 2007 First Tehran International Sculpture Symposium. Teherán, IRAN. Fourth Place. But his fame was given by one of their "gorditos" (1, 2, 3) According to a web page: "His "gorditos" has been so successful that are highly appreciated both at home and abroad. A fresh, original, with a different and modern."

    I feel happy when i see or read about peruvian artist who achieve national and international recognition for their work. so it is something that motive us to follow their steps. this is a real case, who impress us!!
    we can also help them publishing their sculpture and design in social networks as it help a lot.
    my friend told me that it could help to artist to be more successful.
    i would like to know if it is true.

    1. I is always in capital letters!A peruvian artist or peruvian artists and then who achieves or who achieve. Motif is a noun and motivate is the verb. A real case WHO? IS the case a person? Do you publish sculptures? Your friend told you what?

  2. Santiago, Good article. However, be careful with your relative pronouns... The Cow Parade which... are you talking about some other Parades or are you making reference to the place where the parade took place.
    Adjectives: A fresh, original with a modern WHAT? aDJECTIVE USUALLY PRECEDE THE NOUN THEY MODIFY HUH?
